I have spent the last 10 years inside Odoo — first as a developer who got curious about why so many implementations were technically fine but operationally useless, then as the person businesses call when that gap has already cost them a few painful months. I am based in Frankfurt, Germany, and I have delivered more than 50 Odoo implementations, most of them for clients I found and kept through Upwork.

Along the way I went back and did a Master's degree in Machine Learning and AI, mostly because I kept running into automation problems that plain Odoo workflows could not actually solve — and I was tired of telling clients "that part isn't really possible" when I suspected it was, I just did not know how yet. Now when I say AI-first, I mean I can build the model, not just describe one in a proposal.

My client list is more varied than the average Odoo consultant's, and I think that is a genuine advantage rather than a footnote: furnished-apartment rental platforms, dropshipping operations, retail chains, industrial manufacturers, property inspection services. Every one of those industries breaks Odoo's default assumptions in a different place, and fixing that repeatedly across very different businesses is honestly where most of what I actually know came from — not from reading documentation.

I am Odoo S.A. certified for versions 15, 18, and 19, and I still write the code myself — custom Python modules, integrations, migrations, the parts most "consultants" quietly outsource. I do not think that is unusual for someone doing this seriously. I think it is just increasingly rare, and it shows in how projects turn out.
